You might want to get some pictures of horses and just sketch them  That's always a good way to improve, and looking at real ones doesn't hurt either. Overall its a great picture and the horses are drawn well. I like it a lot Thank you for helping me out. Gait? what is that *grabs dictionary* Oh, right. I guess it could hurt too look at real ones... if you get too close, and their in a bad mood! | |

If you want to branch out in your inkwork, try some different techniques such as hatching, cross-hatching, positive-egative, and variable line weight. I personally prefer a positive-negative approach to inking, as it makes your work look surgically clean and blueprint precise. The key is practice, and don't be afraid to screw up.
