| 8 Feb 2001 | Fionamcleod | Loading...Oh. Wow. OH WOW!!! Oooooh, woooow! You made wings! This is great, they look superimpressive. I've got tiny batwings made of wire and black plastic but this project makes a mockery of my humble contraption. Sigh. I'm awed and jealous.Thank you. It was a whole lot of fun doing them, even though I had to stay at school all night to finish them in time. But I need to redo some details that arenīt that good. | |

Youīre perfectly right, there ainīt enough sculptures in the wood.Expertly crafted? Noooo, just low-resolution-photo. | |
| 21 May 2001 | THe iNdEsCriBabLe mEgnEss | Loading...Oooo *straps on a jet engine on the back and takes off* hehe, just kidding...but these are pretty cool! It obviously took a lot of thought (you mean we think? ) - I certainly wouldn't have thought of the little "bird tail" thing at the back at first. I really like these, even if all they did was flap, maybe I'll make them sometime and get them to fly! (*thinks about the jet engine again... *) Still got the plans?Glad you liked them. Actually I didnīt think very much. I just had an idea and started in one end, the rest just happened. My only plan was a tiny sketch in a notebook. | |
| 24 May 2001 | Rindunel Stan | Loading...Hey... Pretty neat... The two guys were Dedalus and Icarus. The father (Dedalus) made two pairs of wings out of Wax and Feathers so they could fly away from the tower where the king trapped them. He told his son (Icarus) not to fly to high, but as sons always do, he did that and the Sun melted it's wax. So, Icarus falled down and died. Anyway, your wings might fit better in a fantasy book called "The wings of Michael Archangel" written by a romanian fantasy writer. I don't know if it was ever published outside Romania's borders, but the book has something of Maupassant's "Bel Ami" mixed up with a little of fallen angel story... Thanks for clearing that out! I havenīt read that story "The wings of Michael Archangel" so I wouldnīt know. Happy you liked them anyway. | |
| 21 Jun 2001 | Random viewer | Loading...heh, reminds me of the time I taped a rocket model engine to a toy styrofome glider. It flew, for two seconds. Whoooooosh -- bank -- oh no! -- into the dirt. Whatever you do, don't do that to YOUR wings. The heat from the engine gutted out the styrofome fuselage.Oooh, thatīs a sad story. Donīt worry I wonīt do that with my wings. Where would I find a rocket big enough anyway? | |
