"Fairytale Fairy" by Dane ashley goulter

 A fairytale styled illustration. Fairytale imagery is one of my favourite genres but I always imagine it a little darker or gloomy than the Disney depictions of it. Having read The Brothers Grimm fairytales the way they were originally written is probably an influence. I do prefer it this way to the cartoony style anyway. It took quite awhile to paint with a bunch of tiny details around, pretty happy with how it turned out though :).

I looked around alot for some fairytale artists but could find very few. I found one illustrator that specializes fairy art and used the idea of hers to have the image inside a ring, and kind of referenced her toadstools aswell. I did the sketch ages ago though and havnt been able to find that fairy artist again. If anyone knows let me know. :)
