I love this pic. This is Gleshthrah, another orcish mercenary woman from my universe. When I begin her story, she's still part of a mercenary group, but she's getting into her forties, the rainy country they're in making her bones hurt. In spite of this, she and her group have pulled off a great defeat of a rustling organization, and there'll be bonuses and leave-time for all once they get back to their home city-state of Mreshth. But Gleshthrah goes out to see the prisoners, and this one young orc-man catches her eye. Bruzthrek is hardly more than a boy, to her reckoning, only in his twenties- and he doesn't really deserve to hang, because hells, even her old clan gets up to some cattle thievery every now and then! So, because 'tis legit under the company's rules, she take him as her war-husband- as loot. Now they are fairly wealthy off of Gleshthrah's savings and his earnings, and can afford to live in a warmer part of Mreshth and have children. A rough-and-tumble start to a romance, but it's worked.

11 Apr 2003	Alana Westwood	Loading... This is great! I imagined the characters in the story to be a lot different... I imagined Bruzthrek to be quite a bit taller and brawnier, and Gleshthrah less evil-looking, but this is still an awesome picture. Looks like the couple better start building a new bedroom for the baby... at least I'm hoping that's a baby! Dara 'Weirdlet' Williamson replies: "Yes, that would be Zrethak, the eldest daughter and female lead of "Zrethak's Wedding." Which I'm now realizing needs revision and continuation."
