This was greatly inspired by Lewis Carroll, and I just wrote it down right away. It was intended, I suppose, for children and adults who don't want to grow up. For my love ;)

"The Fulibee and Me"

"Once upon a night so fine
I grabbed my staff and walked-
Through the town and thistle-down
That made up Lobbercroft.

I saw in the dusk a Fulibee,
With his pink skin glowing bright-
And said the Fullibee to me
"Where go you, Sir, at night?"

"I'm off to see the pixies"
I stated, bold and true
"And if you wish, my glowing friend,
I'll let you see them too!"

So off we went, my friend and I
Until we reached a dell-
And I stepped up, upon a stump
And rung a silver bell.

All at once the Pixies came,
And hailed me and my beast-
I spoke with them a little while,
And then we had a feast!

They fed us pie and fruit and wine,
We ate all but the bones-
And then, alas, I told my friend,
"We really must go home".

I bid my dues to the Pixie King,
(A good old friend of mine-)
And indeed, the Fulibee said too
"Good Sir, you've been most kind!"

As we walked home through the forest
The Fulibee turned to say-
"If you'll let my go ahead, just here
my glow will light our way"

So back we went, and I to bed,
After bidding the Fulibee good night-
That eve I dreamed of food and wine,
And a luminous pink light.

The next night (and the night was fine)
I grabbed my staff and walked-
Through the town and thistle-down
That made up Lobbercroft."

Hate to say it, but compared to *Toxic Angel* this really isn't great. although you obviously have *loads* of talent, I really don't like this. Soz, but it just has no depth: to me, that's what makes or breaks a poem.

:-) Benjamin 'Dark' Martlew replies: "Well, I don't agree - poetry doesn't have to have depth. Nonsense Verse by L. Carroll has no depth, but it's a classic - its entertaining. I wouldn't want to write poems that *always* had deeper meaning. It's just a bit of fun. Thanks for commenting, though."

Very much "Looking Glass-ish".

I liked it. *smiles* Very good rhyming, and deep. Oh yes. So much hidden meaning about life and society. *grin* (Note the friendly sarcasm ;])
