Hmm...what to say about this pic...it was a first try at drawing a dragon laying down...and the terrain is different than I normally do. I managed to add in a futuristic city in the background too...

You love those dragons! This picture is nice, lots to look at that’s for sure! I’m glad to see that this dragons bones in the wing have been drawn down to a point at the tips, its looks more natural. Might I suggest that next time you draw a dragon, leave the bones in the wing left un shaded darkly and instead shade in lightly around the insides of the skin of the wing in a sort of ark to the shape complimentary to the ark on the end of the wing, I think you’ll find the look pleasing. Also another thing that would help make the dragon pop out of the picture more is to add some shading under him to make a shadow of his body. Great work!

2 Jessica Leigh Smith replies: "Thank you. I will keep the shading in mind. The background on this one was a little different than normal...but I like it. Also, thank you for the suggestion on the wings. I will be sure to try that. Thank you for commenting 2"

Drawing things in a certain pose can be difficult but I think you got it ok in this one. Well done on the background, a lot more detailed, nice shading work. Oooh nice brain-tree(??10). The pillar sphere thing is cool too, makes it feel like its a hostile/evil place. Maybe thats why the dragon is lieing down, trying to stay out of harms way10. Well done.

2 Jessica Leigh Smith replies: "Hi. Thank you. This one was a little different, especially the background. But I like it. I added in a few odd objects that I am leaving up to the viewer to decide what they are (because I truthfully don't know) so it works out that way. Anyway, thank you for commenting 2"

very nice background you drew there!! I should do some backgrounds too.

11 Jessica Leigh Smith replies: "Hi again and thank you. I agree, you should try giving ur pics a background. I'm sure it would look great 2 This background was a little different than I am used to, but I like it. Maybe I will do another one similar, but with more shading in the future...Anyway, thank you for taking the time to stop by my gallery and comment 2 I appreciate it."

Hello! I like this pic! I just ran 3+ miles and I'm hyper!
Anyhoo, I do like this picture. I can't draw with just pencil anymore. Before I know it, I'm inking it and coloring it. The background is cool. I stink at them, but you have real talent.

BTW: I got more pictures up at my gallery.

1 Jessica Leigh Smith replies: "More pics! I will be sure to see them as soon as possible. I am glad you like the pics. I don't do well with ink...I can hardly write with a pen without messing up. Anyway, thanks for commenting."

WOW. This is definitely my favorite in your gallery! I love the background and the sneaky, sly, vulpine look the dragon has in his eye. Excellent! Just EXCELLENT! The only thing I see wrong is that you exagerate the perspective a little too much--his head shouldn't look *quite* that big. Good work, again!

2 Jessica Leigh Smith replies: "Hi again. Thank you. Yeah, the head is a little big...It was an attempt at drawing a dragon laying down though, and for a first try, turned out pretty good. I am glad that you like it. I appreciate your comments 2"
