This is a poem that I recently came up with! Note: I hate poetry (this might become evident when you read my poetry). As always, please let me know what you think of my work!
The idea of unicorns was brought to mind by this picture which actually IS good. (poem submitted: April 11, 2005)

That was rather random, and short, but still funny. I would say you are not a bad poet either.

Can’t say you’ll make it as a poet, Douglas, but it’s funny anyway! 1 Have you tried limericks? That might be up your alley...

:-) Douglas Eckhart replies: "I’m not sure I see the point in Limericks. I know they’re an ’official’ poetry form, but is it worth that effort in order to be baudy or humorous? That and, honestly, I can’t count syllables at all, much less things like meter.

I really wish I could write sonnets. I have a lot of respect for those, but with my rhyme and meter impairment, I have no hope there. 1
