This is a color version of a B&W (pen & ink) illustration for the cover of the solo adventure (dungeon/tunnel) called "A Traveler's Tale" (formerly "The Mad Dwarf") by Ken St. Andre for the RPG game Tunnels & Trolls.

This poor adventurer's luck finally ran out and he now needs to fight these larger than normal Dire Wolves left over from a very recent prehistoric time.
