It seems you put your very hardest effort into every piece and aspect of the drawing, not just the characters in the center. While I admire the armor of the centered characters, my eyes will move to another part (say the bottom left corner) and still see a very-well detailed boot. Simply awesome. | |

| 10 May 2003 | Crissy Gottberg | Loading...You need color, badly. Your drawings are just too good to sit there all balck and white. The details are wonderful, and while I do agree that you have a flare for making and designing interesting costumes, I also think the main atraction to your pictures are the people themselves. The mohak, the instrements on the wall, the design of the table, the atitude of the warrior woman. All that is what combines to make this an interesting picture. As for color... I don't know how you would do it. Might you let me try air brushing one of these in a photo editer???? David Mitchell replies: "Be my guest, but remember that while I draw in black and white, I envision the world of Planescape and its characters in color, often specific color. Be sure to consult me depending on which pic you choose. " | |
| 6 Jun 2003 | Crissy Gottberg | Loading...Actually, I had in mind to color this one if you don't mind. A quick photo editing should do it, and add a little depth to it... Would you mind so much? are there any specific things that are suppose to be specific colors? David Mitchell replies: "Not too much with this picture, since these actually aren't major characters, though they were important plot levers. Valer (far right) is supposed to have leathery (i.e. faintly reptillian) skin, Griffin was described as having chestnut hair, Aspen (the spectacled girl who seems out of place and is based on a real person) also has brown hair and Elister's armor is typically unpolished and even somewhat rusty. His hair is iron gray. The 'mohawk guy' (who's name was never revealed) is wearing a leather ensemble and should be colored apporprietly. Also, this tavern is likely to be dimly lit and low class. Otherwise, I don't have anything too specific in mind, and can't wait to see what you'd do with it!" | |
