| 19 Jan 2003 | Machochicken | Loading...Weeee! I'm like totally your biggest fan, David.......No, seriously it's a nice pic, of a NICE character. Grizz-maal and Grock has to be the coolest pc's in MC. Yoss is cool to, though. David Mitchell replies: "I love you too Machochicken." | |
| 7 Feb 2003 | Lieuwe Boer | Loading...Hehe, that bugbear's face may not be the most original I've ever seen, but still I like the picture. I admire how you are able to put atmosphere into your drawings by adding a background, even if that background's perspective is a little shoddy (probably because you got impatient, right? Great pic. David Mitchell replies: "Yes, Giz-maal's face was heavuily insipred from the bugbear illustration I found in the 2e complete book of humanoids. I have James Gurney (again) to thank for inspiration with the architecture." | |
| 7 Feb 2003 | Alex Pass | Loading...Great looking character, I realy like the expression on his face and his hair/fur is well done | |
| 19 Jul 2003 | Ricky | Loading...That's a Landsknecht he's weilding, right? David Mitchell replies: "This variety of two-handed sword is called a 'flamberge', but there could be many other synonyms. " | |
| 9 Sep 2003 | Stefan Haditanojo | Loading...Very nice drawing, the character is awesome and the back ground is neat and detailed, great job!! | |
| 1 Jun 2004 | Daniel Tucker | Loading...sweet looking pic! bugbear+greatsword=sweetness. just a quick comment on Ricky's question, the bugbear is bearing a flamberge (the correct term is flammard, flamberge was a wavy rapier but everbody calls it a flamberge so what the hell) which was used by, among others, the Landsknechts who were 15th-16th century german mercenaries. once again, great pic, madd proppz to the artist for placing him in an interesting and realistic scene. | |
| 2 Aug 2004 | Erik | Loading...The sword isnt called a landsknecht. It is a Zweihänder, and a flamberge is a zweihänder with wavy blade. They were about 160 to 180 cm. | |
