I like the dark, messy atmosphere here, but the upper part of the drawing probably could have used some more worked-out detail like in your Lower Ward picture, I think it looks a little *too* messy. I wonder if Valese (if it is indeed her) has anything to do with those dead bodies lying further down the street... David Mitchell replies: " Yes, that is Valese taking a stroll down this Hive street, though I'm really not sure the corpse is her doing. You see, I originally drew this picture to serve as a cover for a short story of mine entitled "The Hive", so the background looks smoggy so I could crudely write in the title with a black marker. She kills quite a few people in this story, and though one of them was in an isolated Hive alley, I originally thought it would end up looking like this.
