You visited my site, and had some interesting comments on my favorite images... I thought I'd return the favor. Wow! your work is a great deal different from mine, but I do like it. Heheh. I like the bug most! Ain't he just the kyuutest?! I visited your personal site. Good stuff. Different, but I like it all. Different people make life more interesting. Keep it up, hon. I'll be back. Muwahaha. David Tveit replies: "Thanks for the nice comments about my art, both here and on my personal site. I agree that different people, with different tastes and outlooks, are what make the world an interesting and wonderful place. So I take being called "different" as an especially high compliment "
Hey there, I thought I would pop over and say I have read a few of your comments you have made other places and want to say how sweet you are to make such great comments, everyone is so thankful for them. I am glad I got to see some of your art as well, its great! adore the buggy thing guy! David Tveit replies: "Thanks for commenting on my comments. I like feed back as much as anybody else. Makes me feel connected, inspires me to be more creative; so does offering my own comments to other folks. If I can encourage or advise someone to keep doing what they love to do, and maybe do it better, then I feel like I gave a valuable gift. And that's rewarding in itself. I know, I'm preaching to the choir, Joeie, as I revere you as a high priestess of commentary. I've seen many of your kind words spread far and wide across these woods, and appreciate how much better this world is because of good, thoughtful people like you."

nice stuff man, thanks for dropping by i will hold true to my word of commenting on visitors sites, its pretty rare people do anymore... anyways very nice crosshatched work, if you're really into that sort of thing (which you seem to be very good at) i would recomend printmaking - so like, carving on steel boards and being able to mass produce work. The bug picture entertains me to no end... Very nicely done, and keep up all the good work (unlike me) ha ha... David Tveit replies: "Thanks for the return visit and encouraging words, Sean. I'm pleased that the bug is so well-received. It took me the least amount of time to complete. Now, if I could just get off my lazy butt and create something new, then indeed I will do as you suggest and keep up the good work. But with only 3 drawings in the last 10 years, 2 of which came since joining Elfwood a year ago, my work ethic (in art) needs much improvement. Your gallery rocks with imagination. Let me know when you update."

You are really great with the art you do and your replies to the comments posted are very encoraging and helpful. Thanks to you I too have gouged my hands and unfortunately cant type with my left hand (damn the sharp edge). Keep drawing so that when I return I can feel ashamed enough to try, try and try again.
Dude, your drawings are sick, (good) I see your mind is still pretty twisted just as it was in your youth. I remember when you shot your little brother in the face with a bb gun, and when I saw your name and twisted drawings I knew it had to be you. David Tveit replies: "Just a quick explanation about me shooting my brother in the face: It was a freak accident, not that I shot at him, but that I hit him in the face with a Daisy BB gun, a child's toy, aiming way over his head to allow for the gun's poor trajectory, while he was running away from me after committing a grievous offense. And when he got about 50 feet away, he suddenly turned his head, and that's when the BB landed near his right eye. I only meant to hit him on the backside, if not just scare him. I was justly punished for my crime, which has been a constant source of remorse for me well into adulthood. Ok, so that was more than a quick word. But I didn't want anyone reading your version of the story to get the wrong idea about me."

All the art looks great. Get back to work! We want to see more. I still have a woodprint of yours hanging on my studio wall -- the one with the stairways leading up and down -- remember that one? I remember looking at it in college and simply thinking it looked weirdly nice. Then I went through a long period in my career (and life) where it was a summation of everything I was going through. Now I look back at it and I wonder, how could you have perceptively been so many years ahead of me? Well, each in his own time. And now, what a treat -- I can only hope that during your hiatus you've stored up quite a bit of visual baggage that you'll unleash upon us. And you'll be years ahead of me again.
