BACKGROUND ALERT, BACKGROUND ALERT. OMFG!!111

All sarcasm aside, I'm REALLY happy with this, even though there are buckle marks all over from my not having painted on watercolor paper (again), and Feit's site was down while I did this so I couldn't get a reference for her markings. She's supposed to be a GREY fox, to give you an idea of how much I messed this up.

She's also supposed to be sleeping on a treeroot, by the way. Not very comfortable, I'm sure, but the original reference photo for this (of an actual grey fox) had the fox sleeping on a treeroot, and I didn't plan ahead while drawing the actual figure, so the pose turned out tree-root-sleepingly... and... yeah.

Feithline the grey fox is copyright herself! Go check out her luffly art at mezicolorism.net.

very cute and I can tell you from personal experience, tree roots are not fun to sleep on. You're really improving with the backgrounds, they add a lot to the pictures. Keep at it!

Awesome... Great work with watercolors. I like the position of the body, in some way she looks human, because of her legs, but i like it. She is very elegant, gently...

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "Yes, she did turn out rather elegant-looking... I think I like that too. Heh! Thank you very much for dropping by."

Oh! This is so sweet! Actually, I'm fairly certain grey foxes have a lot of red in them, but I have no idea if you made /her/ to specifications or not. Either way, it looks fine to me. ^.^

And the background is truly luffly. And I love how her tail drapes. And now I'm just rambling...

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "Thank you! This is still one of my favorite paintings. Grey foxes do have a great deal of red on their undersides, but not half this much. Whoops! I painted her to look more like a red panda somehow. "
