Watercolours on... um.. filter paper. (border added with Photoshop) Because I stole three pieces from somewhere and thought it would be fun to paint on. A little crude, but I'm still fairly happy with it. Except for the star, which I seem to have neglected with remarkable ickiness.

Feel free to insert some brittle prose here about she whose white flesh chills the stars and whose azure cloak swallows travelers on cruel nights and so forth. Sorry, not in the mood to be reverent right now. :D

Cool pic i love the way you have done it in a circle and the swirls and colours are cool and she looks really cool! Brill well done x

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "Yikes, I can't believe I've forgotten to reply to comments in so long! Sorry about that, and thank you for the comment. The pic is in a circle because I painted it on coffee-filter paper. XD But I'm glad you like the layout!"

Wow. This has such a wonderful, mystical feel to it. I love the relatively monochromatic style and the way it twists around like so--it makes it look a lot more feminine. Parts of it are a little sketchy and smudgy, like you were tryng to do details on too small an area. I don't know how big the original was, but try to work bigger! (= Keep up the wonderful work!

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "Hmm, that's an interesting concept, the circularness making it look more feminine. *ponders* Yes, this was a very small area- maybe 4 or 5 inches in diameter? (it's a coffee filter sheet!) -and I have a tendency of being kind of lazy when I don't feel like sketching out something before painting it. 19 Thank you for the very nice comment!"

I love this, I love the way, the dress is also the background. The hair is nice and curly!
Love Rian

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "I would have liked the background effect to come out better, actually, but I'm happy that you like it. Thank you!"

I love how it all kind of...flows together. Love the simple beauty of it! You did a wonderful job on this piece

*first comment dance* Why does every one forget?!

If you want some kind of poem for this how about this:

Nights of darkness so cruel
Stars that struggle to bring light
The black lady walks the roads
Such a sinister sight!

Horses shy
Dogs bark and bite
But nothing can harm her
Such a sinister sight!

But when dawn brakes
She must retreat
Back to her hollow
Untill dusk she meets!

(Is really Elfwood artist but cannot log on) You also paint on coffee filters?!?! I do too! Very nice, I go to coffee filters because I'm bored with regualr rectangular paper and can't do circular compositions worth crap without circular paper. *Doesn't turn into a bunny because she needs hands to paint on filter paper*
12 *Put a human emoticon because she is finally NOT turned into a rabbit at the end of a comment.*

:-) Diana M Chien replies: "It was a one-time experiment, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought of it. XD"
