Okay, right off from the start I'm going to establish that I did not *copy* Vermeer's work (which this is obviously based off of). I wanted to paint a tribute to it, so I used it as the reference for the initial posing, but after the first half an hour of basic sketching, I closed the reference file. So from then on I was working independently. So please don't rip me for copying the masters or something. ;_; Because I wasn't trying to. And obviously this is nowhere in Vermeer's league anyway.

All whining aside, I'm kinda satisfied with this. It took a lot of hard work and experimenting with stuff in openCanvas that I've never tried before, but it was fun. And I've finally produced a fanart of Anthy that I'm satisfied with. Because this is Anthy Himemiya from Revolutionary Girl Utena. Because I have the biggest, patheticest crush on her, for various odd reasons. And 'cause her earrings are the same shape as the Girl's. :D

Of course I’m biased, being a huge Anthy fan myself, but I think the whole picture is gorgeous. Excellent work! D. 'Emera' Chien replies: "Oh, wow!
