it seams to me you did this drawing at a very depressed time in your life, and you were very angry. i only think this way because it seams quickly drawn and the colors express a deep emotion that only the depressed can see as beautiful. This picture isnt your best, but in a way it is. If you truly had drawn it on that angry, alone emotion, then it is your best piece of art work. i love the anger and the feelings you have put into this. you bring up emotions i wish to never stir again. thats what art is truly about, creating an emotion that the vewier probably didnt want to even touch base upon again. those are the signs of a true artist.

Brittany 'Autumn RiverRose' Cali replies: "This picture was drawn when I hit more of an extreme low than I'm used to. And looking at it now, with the dark colors and just the shocking value in it I can see why it's not something you'd want to stir again. Actually, it got cut out in the scan, but the word that were on here express what I was trying to get at. They said "Everyone has their scars. These are mine.""

I was wondering, looking at the beauty, not because it's one of your better work, it is beautiful to me cause you poured in your emotions, something real and that makes it beautiful. I have drawings like that too (one published)
I was wondering whether you really have scars on the outside or only on the inside or both?

Brittany 'Autumn RiverRose' Cali replies: "Thank you. Yes, I have scars both on the outside and on the inside. I've broken myself out of injuring myself physically, but mentally is a different issue.
And I'm not quite sure why I put this up here. Maybe because I wanted someone to hear me.

I wouldn't really say I'm emo though...I prefer metal and anything really loud and angry that I can scream to.
