The Death of a Gypsy Star

A gypsy star lies bleeding

Upon a sea of night

My mind ripples with silvered dark

And whispers ride a solemn chime of tears

As I cradle the broken wings of faith to my breast

And breathe its austere grace

Into the well of Light within

Seeking absolution

Seeking hope

A searcher evermore

Adrift

Waking illusion mourns

The falling of the star

Yet within the ambiguity

Of mortal longing

And the yearning of the Soul

I embrace the shadowed spirit of indecision

Blind to the song

Of destiny

A gypsy star lies dying

Upon a sea of night
