SciFi and Fantasy Art Cirrus and Jacob by Samantha J. Nowak

Two characters from the Shrine Maidens of Hale: Cirrus and Jacob. Cirrus is a warrior woman with a major 'don't touch me' attitude, and Jacob is a Priest (and in this world, Priests don't have to stay chaste) with Light magic abilities (and is also rather soft and kind hearted). From the moment Jacob laid eyes on Cirrus he's been infatuated/in love with her, and she has been rather annoyed at it (threats of doing bodly harm to the Priest if he makes any advances to her are frequent). At some point in the story there will be a ball where Cirrus and Jacob will both be attending. And well...the priest is on the quiet/soft side, but he's a persistant bugger, so I imagine this happening sometime during the night. ~india ink, prisma markers, and prisma colored pencils, October 07~

He looks like a fine fellow, and if a quiet/shy guy is actually maintaining the guts to really pursue a girl, it might be worth it for her to at least consider him - to honor the rarity of it, as it were. She’s a beautiful lady, and looks like there’s a chance she might have a romantic heart buried somewhere beneath the warrior skin. You’ve done their facial expressions very well, I think. He looks properly awkward and overeager, she looks slightly annoyed but not mean. Her dress is well-designed too, I think, as is her hair. Only thing I see is that her arms seem to thin for a warrioress. No doubt she’s of the more sleek kind, but some smooth elegant muscles might be in order. But no matter. ’Tis a fine picture.

Nowak replies: "evoking emotion and tension with body language are one of the many things I love doing with my characters XD haha, if I were a better seamstress there would be MANY dresses I’ve drawn that I would make...maybe I just need to befriend a seamstress... :ninja:"
