"Awaking Animation" by Samantha J. Nowak

So, back in 2003 I did a piece called "Sleeping Animation". My response to hearing that Home on the Range was to be Disney's last 2D feature film. That piece is in my gallery if you want to go view it. Several months after doing that piece I found the quote by Ron Clements (quoted in this piece) and thought "Wow! There's someone else thinking right up my alley!!"

 Ever since Michael Eisner left Disney and Disney acquired Pixar, a lot of creative things have been happening at the house of the mouse. Creative heads from Pixar have taken over sections at Disney and it seems Pixar is trying to get the artist back in charge over the business man. Several months ago it was announced that Disney would be doing The Frog Princess, their first 2D animated feature since Home on the Range. So, based on Ron Clements statement, I think a *Prince* has arrived to wake up *Snow White* (Snow White symbolizing traditional/2D animation, I put the word "traditional" on the pillow for space purposes), that *Prince* is Pixar and all it's creative heads that are mingling with Disney (some mingling BACK in with Disney, since there are those at Pixar who use to work for Disney in the past). ^___^

So look out for The Frog Princess! Slated to come out in 2008! XD And hopefully back to what Disney animated features are all about!!
