Wizards really should be more careful about what they dump in the lake... innocent animals, or in this case, protozoans, might eat it, so it is imperitive that volatile magical waste be properly disposed of, regardless of how small the particles may be.

This amoeba proteus has enveloped a small piece of magical debri and is now in the process of attempting to digest it. Already, many of its organelles have corrupted, and the protozoan itself is showing signs of turning to darkness.

It is only fair to warn you: I have immunity again evil Amoebas of Darkness. They simply can't corrupt what is already so evil. ^_^

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Well, never mind then... hmm... why do poeple always seem to assume that darkness and evilness go together? How odd."

Hmmm... maybe... but I won't hold it against you. ^_^

22 Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Oh dear... but that's reassuring."

Why is darkness considered evil? You should not ask such questions... for I will be tempted to answer them! Here's the long reason:

Psychologically, people fear the dark, and so since people often tend to react angrily toward what they fear, dark becomes something sinister, abnormal, and evil.

It is only in the western world where darkness = black = death = evil. You see, for a long time now black and darkness have been associated with death, which a lot of people used to consider, well, evil. The Black Death being the best example of this reasoning.

Then there's the fact that all sorts of evil things happen in the dark (mugging people is certainly easier in a dark alley and it is generally easier to sneak around in the dark.)

And finally, you said you amoeba was being "corrupted" by the darkness. That tends to make be believe it is turning evil... since corruption is generally not a warm, happy, GOOD state of being.

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Oh, okay...Is it bad that I can't even remember what exactly I put in the decriptions of my own pictures naymore? O_O"

*smiles* It's not often one sees protozoans depicted on Elfwood. (Though I was always fondest of paramecium myself.)

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "There are a few, though... somewhere. Paramecia, eh? Maybe I'll do one of those some day..."

When I first saw this, I thought it was a peice of jewelry, but it's a single-celled organism instead. With some of it out of focus, it really looks like one is looking at it through a microscope.

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Comment From The Rad Hat Society: That would be an interesting piece of jewelry, to be sure, but... *ponders* Woot, that was my intent... ^^"

Wizzards and Amoeba eh?, more likely mold on some piece of cake you’ve dropped underneath the computer methinks...

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: " I don’t drop cake.

Now popcorn, that might be it... except that’s not what mold, or any fungi, really, would look like under a microscope. "

Shiny?

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "’Shiny’. Means ’neat’.
’Great’.
’Lovely’.
’Woot.’
’Good.’

And sometimes, in more archaic uses of the language, it even means ’shiny’. o_O"

Awesome. I’ve never, ever seen someone make a magical/evil amoeba lol. I wonder just what an amoeba would do if it’d been turned to the dark side? Hmmmm...22

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Probably just sit there, like any other? Oh, I don’t know. o_O"
