The ave'orin were created to ballance the power of such powerful races as the deresi and Utal, with a magical virus that editted not only one's physical atributes, but affixed to the very spirit as well. Later becoming known as song elves and vampires, these powerful creatures were a force to be reckoned with, regardless of the paths they travelled.

But that there would be an entry on them in a deresi textbook, with the passage containing statistics and facts about the vampire first ones, guidelines on exactly how their societies worked, where they lived and where they came from, how they were born or turned, what, precisely, they could do with their peculiar powers... it countered everthing the creators had intended.

For the deresi had managed to vanish so utterly not because they had been destoyed or died out, but beause they had simply assimilated into other cultures, other races, even one that had been created to counter them. They impersonated the others to avoid being hunted by them, and it worked so well that the shock of the discovery when it finally came was unprecidented.

By the way, the text is really just an animated brush on random. Also, the figure was very fudged; I really just did this for the outfit. Wheeee, outfit.

That is most excellent, as a couple of idiots in a phone booth might say.
I do hope the Mods take note and stick a little star on it. if not have an asterix *

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Whee, an asterisk... whoohoo. *passes out*"

Well, her pose is a bit stiff, and her head seems a tad too large, but don’t get me wrong -- this is a wonderfully imaginative piece! I love the little story you posted with it, and that cool writing in the background. And her costume design is dark, sexy, and awesome. The texturing really looks like leather, and I love how you did the lacing & tassels. The separate hood and veil are nice touches also. Very cool picture.

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "A bit? Only a bit? The figure is pretty fudged... I just did this for the costume. Just wanted to finally put it down on paper, or really, cardboard, after it had been floating around for some time.

Thank you, though. Thank you muchly for all the lovely words. And I am glad you like it. ^^"

hey i have gimp!......anyways she looks neat..i always get nervous about head size in some of my art works....i have somewhat of a grasp on anatomy ....i think she looks pretty neat...i like her outfit especially the sleevies...^_^

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Yes... all hail the lovely, functionable gnu apps. ^^

Sometimes I just say, ’screw anatomy’ and don’t even bother to try. The sad thing is, when I do, it generally only comes out marginally worse than when I do try. But... o_O

I’m glad you like it, certainly. ^^ And what can I say? I adore that kind of sleeve."

*tiptoes in* *steals her outfit* *tiptoes out*
What? You should’ve known that would happen! Er... maybe you did? *looks around for hidden anti-Ellemerr traps*

She’s funky to the extreme. Yup yup.

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "*GLARE*

Er, not really. But that doesn’t mean I can’t improvise. ^^ *throws a microwave at ye*

...okay, I really need to work on being more creative. Honestly, a microwave? How stupid is that? Ghah. At very least I could have thrown a dread jellyfish at you... *mutters irritably*

Bwahah, funky. ^^

*realizes the lapse in irritability and immediately goes back to muttering*"

Microwaves hurt. To your information.

Anyhow! I am now officially a... super-something. Because I have a slogan! Or motto. Or whatnot. According to a gentleman who is also a friend, that makes me a super-something. So now I must run around and fight peope with my wonderful war-cry "By the littlest things that crawl in your dreams and light up the night!" (I am thinking about changing the last part of it because people get it all wrong, though. Because they don’t really "light". I mean, not like the moon or the stars or the moths do. (Do moths even light up things or is that just me?) They’re more like the "glowing darkness". But people don’t seem to get that either! *sigh* Life as a super-something is definetly hard.)

But it seems, as a super-something, I need a proper outfit that somehow cover up part of my face. It doesn’t really have to make me look less like me as long as I take off my glasses, but still, for good measure. And because I can’t make any outfits myself (Alright, I can design them, but I can’t make them. Sowing just ain’t my thing), and because Isabella trapped me in a illusionary pink tivoly with lots of little pink girls that were all singing those dreadful songs that are just made of icky sugary doom-stuff when I tried to steal hers, I thought I might try once more to steal this one.

*steals the funky-to-the-extreme outfit and runs off, laughing maniacly, to fight the pink sugary doom-monster*

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Damn it all, it ate my comment again. Yes, this is an absolutely wonderful system. I sing it’s praises, because this time the problem was that I tied to submit it.

It didn’t like that.

Wait, maybe that was my problem before, too. o_O

Whah.

And now I’m too bummed to rewrite it. *stares dejectedly at the wall, absently rubbing her foot due to having dropped a microwave on it*

Oh, yeah, I was going to throw another microwave, but then I realized I couldn’t be bothered... just so you know. That’s when I dropped it on my foot. Before. When I wrote the reply. Initially.

Yup.

So the bit about the dreams and night is your slogan? What’s wrong with it? And no, I doubt I get it, but I’ve always been dense... before, I think I went off on a speel about visible light in response to that. *shrugs* May have applied more to the moths, for all I know.

Or is it something about ideas...

Life is just annoying in general. >.<

You could always dress up as a pirate. Or a mesmer. Or something. I dressed up as a ritualist for halloween... it was funny. People asked how I could see... granted, I cheated and used some actually quite translucent velvet...

Did I already mention this? I have no idea.

Holy crap, it’s December already. O_o"
2 Dec 2008:-) Karen-Birgitte "Ellemerr" Borud
It’s December! 1 *starts singing christmas songs* I love december! Mum bought me a whatsnot the time of December before christmas eve is called in English star yesterday, because I’ve moved out an’ all and everyone should have these stars ’cous they’re funky and lighting and I wanted one to hang in a window, and it makes me all happy. Yeah!

Silly comment system. Can’t it understand that it shouldn’t eat comments? Especially not Kim comments. I’m sure it’ll grow all fat from them. ;P I don’t think it’s eaten any of mine in a while, but then again, Kim is prolly writing a lot more comments than I am, seeing as I don’t update and don’t have nearly as many silly friends as Kim has. I really should update. I will, after my exam and stuff. I promise! >.< Anyhow, there’s another board that does eat my posts every once in a while, so I’ve learned to always copy my replies before I post them. It helps quite a great deal.

Yoo dressed as a rit? Seriously? xD Neat-o. Now, that’s something I’d like to see a picture off! I don’t think I’d be able to do that. Or if I did, I wouldn’t be able to see because I don’t have the wits to find some translucent fabric.

I dressed as... uhm... I’m not quite sure, actually. For Halloween. I think I was part Arachnea, the cute little... no wait, the cute big spider/woman thing from the Thorgal comic. Then I was part Corps Bride, just without the maggot and the blueness. And part Zelda and her sister from Neil Gaiman’s Sandman comic, a pair of gals that always dressed in brideish clothing with lots of dead spiders in. They collected spiders, living as dead, but after being stuck in a veil for some time, the living spiders kind of ended up dead anyway. Then lastly I guess I was part Zentel, my spider-demon character, but that’s just because she is based on all the above anyhow. It was quite a nice costume, actually. I got to wear a veil and my nice white dress, so I was pretty much happy.

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "Eeek, Christmas songs... wait, some are decent... I think. Though I honestly think you might need to better explain the star dealie, being as I really did not understand that sentence... >.<
You’ve moved out? Wait, how old are you? What’s the setup in that regard where you live, anyway? *clueless*

I reckon it eats my comments specifically because they’re so long... and I really haven’t been on much at all. As for friends hereabouts, I really seem to have quite few. In fact, the only folks I’ve talked to recently on here would be you, Dave, and Megan. Not even kidding.
I used to copy them before submitting, but unfortunately, MSdos does not support my primary method of copying. As such, neither do any of the modern Windows versions. Really stupid, for an OS that seems to pride itself in its usability...
(I am, of course, referring to the lovely method of highlighting text. That, in Unix systems, is a copy as well as ctrl c, and to past the highlighted text elsewhere, all one needs to is middle click on the elsewhere. Becuase for web browsers, the highlighted text doesn’t actually need to stay highlighted to remain pastable, unlike in things like an xterm and simple text editors, for which the method was probably innitially intended)
(if that didn’t make any sense, never mind)
Of course, I also tend to forget, anyway. >.>

Yup, head-gear and everything. Would have had an urn, but I forgot... but anyway, I uploaded an image of it for my bio-pic. *points* Bad web-cam image, actually, since that’s all I’ve got, but you may get the gist. (oh, and yes... I did change the background. In case you noticed how the lighting doesn’t quite match...)

Ah, but that’s the best sort of costume! That’s actually what I usually do, too, just dress up as a great combination heap of things... >.> This time, I just made a fancy dress; the head-gear was an afterthought; I just cobbled it together at the last minute. Did end up my favorite part, though. ^^

Whoohoo. "

I love her! Her costume looks great; very nicely designed. The folds on the clothes are also well done and cged. Also love her gloves. You did a nice job with the brackgound, making it light and textured, so that way the focus would be on the character. her eyes really get your attention, so light and strange...

:-) Kim Schoonover (Darth Maulīs scary sister) replies: "IT’S FEBRUARY!!!!!!!!

Wait, no it’s not.

Sorry, tangent. Anyay, reply. I am replying to a comment. I can do this. o_O *takes a deep breath*

But in all serious, yay. ^^
Wait, what folds? These? *pokes some sort-of folds* Huh. Cool. ^^

I want those gloves. *mutters* And those pants. And sleeves. And hood. And to be not so completely out of shape, so I could wear that top... in which case, I would want it too.
Backround, though... joy of dumping random textures and then smearing stuff on them, that. You should try it sometime.

Eyes... *sigh*"
