Hello, and welcome to my dusty corner of Wyverns Library. Rather than repeat myself, go to my F & Sf gallery and read my bio there. *points to link on the right*
If you want to see more of my work visit my Livejournal as I post bits and pieces there occasionally.
Like any writer, comments about how good my work is and how brilliant (!) I am at writing are nice to read and are a real ego boaster; however they don't improve my work. If anything I'll just get big headed ;)
When it come to my writing, I honestly don't mind if you rip my work into tinsy bitsy shreds - as long as you do it in a constructive way. If you are going to go into lots of detail please Email it to me *points to the email icon thingy on the right* rather than post it as a comment.
I've babbled on enough, go read my stories, I hope you enjoy them.
The Warlord's Daughter - My first bash at writing, originally posted at Steelsings' Writings Forum, which I now co mod with the wonderful
Lis (go read her work she is a fabulous writer). I am currently in the throes of rewriting it, so it is hard to summarise the plot.
The Tale of Lady Guinevere - my version of Arthurian legend. Basically I got fed up of Guinevere being blamed for the death of Arthur and the fall of civilization etc so I decided to rewrite the legend in Guinevere's favour. Hope you like.
Links: Thot's Book Livejournal Community: A community I've set up for fantasy writers. The idea is people post resources and research that can help with writing. Go have a look, it's very small at the moment, so anything is welcome.
Limyaael 's Fantasy Rants: a must read for any writer, wannabe, amateur or published. Limyaael posts rants every three of four days about things that can get annoying, cliché's, wrong use of thee and thou, problem languages, inconsistent name patterns, weird (and not so wonderful) species, just to name a few.
Update 7/11/04 Sorry it's taken so long, but I have finally got the edited version of The Tale of Lady Guinevere. I'm working on the next chapter as well as something new.

How will I ever finish the Dark Prince if you all keep throwing new pieces to read at me I will soon check out your stories. *can't dance, won't dance, even the first dance* Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "thanks Emmy, I'm sure you'll manage, the last lot was great." | |
| 5 Sep 2004 | Berber *Black* Klaibeda | Loading...Great stories and congrats on the Mod's choice! Update soon please! Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "thanks, I'm glad you like my work. I will update very soon, I promise!" | |
| 11 Sep 2004 | Larry N. Morris | Loading...*glances at the comment above and begins to understand why "Dark Prince" isn't getting finished.* It's all your fault, Dellia!!!!! *LOL* Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "*blows raspeberry*" | |
| 18 Sep 2004 | E Purington | Loading...Hi! I'm back, checking in for the next Guinevere part..So good! Is there an eta for it? If so, when? I hardly ever get hooked into stories. May I propose a toast? Yes? No? Yes? Good *throws bits of toast around the room and runs off* Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "*picks up bits of toast and throws them back* I've written part of the first chapter, it's posted on my Livejournal *points to link* feel free to check it out. I'm hoping to do at least five chapters before putting them up here, writers block willing, that is. " | |
| 7 Dec 2004 | Emmy Kuipers | Loading...*waves from the depths of the ocean called 'real life'* How are you doing, Melarin? My little break turned out to be nearly a sabbatical I've started writing again and celebrated it with a tiny addition to my shelf (nothing fancy, mind you, and still in the ticket queue). Now I'm off on a very belated trip to your stories. *takes a deep breath and dives under* Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "Yup, I know what break are like, they just suck you in don't they? I'll keep an eye out for your new stuff, thanks for letting me know. " | |
| 26 Dec 2004 | | Loading...Hi Melarin! I'm knots of song from steelsings. Love your work and congrats on the Mod's choice. | |
| 16 Jul 2005 | Debra L Kilman | Loading...Hi there! I had your page marked because something caught my eye after following a link. Obviously, it must have been some time ago, due to the fact that your comments stop. As I tried to figure out how to read the additional chapters of Gunivere that you say you have posted in your journal, would you consider posting them here? I am particulary fond of Arthurian stories and I like the different POV that you are presenting here. If you would, please drop by my little corner and let me know if you plan to continue this. I'd appreciate it very much. Delia 'Melarin' Seilly replies: "I had planned to write of more Gwen's story but a bout of writers block combined with oncoming GCSE exams resulting in most of my writing grounding to a halt. I’m trying to remedy that now, but I’m mainly focusing mostly on another story I have in the works. It’s lovely to meet a fellow Arthurian fan, and if you like Gwen’s Tale I’ll be sure to add it to my to do list. (It’s so much easier to write something when you know you’ve got people to read it, not just for the ego boost but for help, proof reading and such.) I have posted various bit and pieces of Gwen’s tale in my journal, but it’s all friends locked and most of the bits I have written all need serious rewriting and refining. If you tell me your live journal name I’d be more than happy to add you. And I’ll be sure to drop round your corner when I have a spare moment. I had a quick look and it seems to me that you’ve done very well for yourself. " | |
| 7 Sep 2005 | Sarah E Askew | Loading...Hello fellow Steelsingser! Haha! You know I started reading the Guinevere story and when I reached the part where Merlyn came in I had a slight deja vu thing happen. Then it hit me! I've been here before and started to read it then but got busy with something else and had to stop. Well I finished it this time! You make your characters really well. Most of mine are still discovering their personalities lol! Love the Guinevere story. I'll come back again soon and read the other one. I hope you put up the next part to Guinevere. I'd love to read it. Well have to go now have fun! | |
| 1 Jul 2006 | Debra L Kilman | Loading...*smile* I'd still like to see more of your work. Just recently opened up an lj account. user name is debturp, so if you'd add me to your list, I'll wander over and take a look. | |
