| 1 Jan 2004 | Unicornwalker | Loading...this is a very beautiful drawing.. but I'm sad to say the conformation of the chest is a bit odd. How too drawing books can only help you to a certin point, if you don't have a real horse for refrence then the next best thing is a Breyer modle horse, go too google or ebay and look for them, they are scale modles and look like real horses, you may find them verry useful, I do. Cathey Osborne replies: "I was actually working from a photo of a horse in a really far-reaching extension, and it was along time ago. I've learned a lot about tranferring forms from a photo to line art. A lot of things just don't translate well.As for BReyers (and hartlands and Stones, etc.), I've ben collecting for over 20 years and they are the BEST models I've ever used. If you ever have a few you want to liquidate, let me know! You can see my remakes at http://photos.yahoo.com/denahhaptugruk in teh album titled "Model Horse Remakes" -- there are only two there at the moment, but I have a dozen odd others in progress." | |
| 27 Aug 2004 | Michelle A. Young | Loading...oooh this one is lovely, and a hairy footer too! That makes him twice as good I read that you're into model customizing, I've just got myself a collection of breyers including some for remake which I'm going to have a crack at soon, should be very interesting Cathey Osborne replies: "I have a thing for hairy equines -- I guess it shows! Fresians, Clydesdales, Andalusians... yum!I oonly have one repaint up on my personal website so far, but there are more coming. If you need hints, let me know and I can point you towards a bunch of websites and chat areas dedicated to remaking and showing." | |
