Tag As FavoriteComment		The title has nothing to do with this actual drawing rather it describes the individual I drew it for. I wasn't really satisfied with the armor or the sword and I know my shading is off again but I tried. Anyways this is my version of an elven knight. I was trying to give a unique look to his armor and ended up making something that looked almost asian in style.

I think the armour and the sword are really welldone! As for the shading I find it better than most other pictures in Elfwood. Congrats on your mod's choice!

This is a really good portrait, Lloyd. Nice one on the Mod's choice too 12 Looking at this for a while has brought me to this conclusion: Your shading is really good, but it's the outline that might be bugging you on this. If you varied the outline, say a heavier outline around the figure in contrast to the background and details on his persona, it might stand out more.. I don't know, but I think it might work. You could print out a copy of it and try it, just to see. Still drowning in your details here 12

Thanks again Mark, I see what you mean about the outline and to be honest I was quite shocked when I got the mods for this one as this is very old and I can see a least 30 things wrong with it but in no way am I going to complain about it. After all a mods is a mods. I'm currently working on a redo of this one, or rather a newer version and although its been awhile I finaly have something in queue. Hope you come take a look when it posts."

Stunning detail and shading as i expect no less from you Lloyd. The armor is frickin superbly designed. I love it. The sword is a demanding figure all in it's self as well. I'm happy it was recognized with a mod's choice! Please keep up this level of creativity Lloyd. Always a pleasure to oogle it

two good things two bad things...I really like the details of his armor, his head and hair look really good, however, his head is a bit small and the proportions of his lings are a bit uneven.

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "I was wondering when someone was going to finally notice the proportions on this. This was my attempt at using comicbook superhero proportions. Though visually impressive in a comic the 8 to 1 ratio as far as the spacing of the figure just doesn’t go well with my pencil work."

this is an amazing piece of work, but is he a high elf? because that armor loks too rougish for an elf
sorry, im being really picky today
also, that sword is unweildy. its bigger than him, making it useless in a closequarter situation

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks, that armor was one of my mediocre attempts at trying to design an original armor design. Not very successful I’m afraid. And also no need to apologize as your constructive crit is appreciated. The sword is my rendition of a two-handed-sword. They are usually about 5 1/2 to 6 feet long. An effective weapon against mounted opponents but a poor weapon when fighting close as you mentioned. At least thats what I read in history books."

The details are beautifull none the less!!!!! And I think you did a fantastic job with the shading!!!!! I cant believe u think its off..........
