He looks too modern...like he's wearing the armour for some Ren fair, not because he lives in those times...anyway..congrats on mods and all. | |

| 2 Aug 2007 | Ian Paul Houston | Loading...Unbelievable work! I am in awe of your technical skill and your creativity... and I wonder how you manage to shade with such a wide variety of tones and still keep your overall composition looking bright. I hope you used a fixative... cuz this piece looks like it will fall right off the page! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thank you for the great compliments. For this particular piece I used 2B and 4B lead as well as a variety of erasers. As for the brightness I had to think about that one when I read your comment as I was really trying to get darker shades and tones. I've had a lot of critism about my drawings being too light. And by the way I had sprayed 4 layers of fixative on this one after it was done." | |
| 12 Aug 2007 | Jason Jsun Dement | Loading...Awe inspiring... yeah, that should be the title of this drawing. From the design of the armor to the feel of the art, this work is expert craftsmanship at it's best. I've yet to ever put so much work into my shading and therefore I believe I've not hit your highwater mark with anything I've ever drawn before. You raise the bar Lloyd, I'll chase feebly behind you. Thanks for sharing it! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Wow! I'm not really that good to get that much praise but thank you just the same. You forget that i've seen your work and your already there. What I find is that most artist have great skill but more often than not their just impatient. If they would just learn to stay patient and not lose interest in the drawing then I think most work would probably come out way better than any of my stuff." | |
| 8 Oct 2007 | Jeff Myers | Loading...This is amazing. The armor is absolutely incredible. Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thank you, it took me some time for this one." | |
