| 10 Dec 2004 | Rikki Randall | Loading...This is really good! And for me this would be too much detail, in other words I wouldn't spend the time on the much detail! The front legs, epspecially the left leg looks like a dogs more than a horses, but to be able to use a refrence of a dog and come out like this is amazing! Great Job! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks again Rikki. I guess my transforming of a dog to a horse wasn't exactly the best. I finaly got around to buying a book on horses so I'll try another centaur sooner or later." | |

| 22 Dec 2004 | Alice 'Serpentine Fire' Raven | Loading...I like it very much. The torso and head of the character are very good, and though they are not as detailed as your later works, are still pretty accurate, and the muscular structure is very well done. Being a horse owner, I have a pretty good idea of horse anatomy, although they are stupidly one of the most difficult animals to draw, because of the many muscles and shape of legs/quarters. The main thing that makes the horse-part of the body look weird is the fact that the chest (horse) is too narrow; in a warhorse/riding horse it would be much wider, and it seems to me judging by the warlike appearance of the man it would be a warhorse body. The rear end is very good, but the pose seems somehow awkward; the position of the man-part askew to the horse. The horse body would probably be facing forwards, so you'd be able to see the belly and back legs behind the front legs. Still, considering you used a dog as reference, its fantastic! Keep up the beautiful work - I'd like to see another centaur drawn recently, to see how your style has changed on this particular creature ^^ Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks, Alice. I'll be working on another centaur some time this year. I hope you like it when I finaly get to it." | |
| 10 Jul 2005 | J. Anette Jallow | Loading...Wow, for a dog as reference you really got the horse anatomy pretty damn great Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks! I was realy worried that the dog part was showing through." | |
| 31 Oct 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...The stud looks like a mare if you know what I mean. Do some study on male and female horses. Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks for commenting, I did this a very long time ago and I completely see what your saying. It does look very odd but hopefully i've improved since then and I can give drawing a centaur another try." | |
