This was an NPC that had a long running history with my players. I know there are several mistakes I've made on this drawing but I promise I'll keep trying to get it right. 8/10/2005 update...I am now working on a graphic novel featuring Roth, which should published in April 2006.

Well done! One of the strengths is the little details, such as his five o'clock shadow and the worn ripples on his exposed thigh. A buffalo head makes an odd choice of codpiece, however.

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks again. I'm glad you noticed the details as I spent a little extra time on them for this piece. The codpiece was actualy the idea that made me begin this drawing in the first place."

It looks to me as though you may have struggled a little bit with the face, but it came out all right in the end. Otherwise the detail in this piece is amazing and I really can see the improvement in your skills between this and some other pieces in your gallery. All I can say is WOW and keep at it, I am sure you will come out with many other amazing pieces in the future.

Also, in regard to many of the introductions to your pieces, stop being such a harsh judge on yourself. Suffering from the same affliction myself, I have found that the best thing you can do is concentrate on the positives in your pieces rather than the negatives. That way you can emphasize your skills, while subtly working on your weaknesses. You will appreciate your own work much more that way.

the right leg is a little off but its a minor detail in an otherwise incredibly awsome picture. I only noticed it becasue the rest of the picture is so perfect it kinda draws my eye to the one off detail.

and anyne who can draw steel like that i have nothing but the greatest respect for

OOOOO this is so cool! His face reminds me of someone...Can quite put my finger on it. lol

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Hi again Eve, good to see you on another one of my pics and thank you for the comment."

O-O

*thinks he is dool-over-able*

I love this. The detail is amazing, so much thought obviously went into this.

I think I've been to your gallery before and this has always been on of my favorite pieces. Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back. 2

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thank you for that very lovely comment. I did put quite a bit of thought into this one and i'm glad it shows."

Hi again. Ya, you're as good as ever. Ok, about all the comments where you're being told you're too hard on yourself...it's bugging me. you know, being hard on oneself sometimes helps one attaining higher standards, and it's only bad if it gets bad to such extent that you can't appreciate your own work and stuff. C'mon. Nobody can't appreciate what you do, not even this O guy (he's all over the place in this gallery!! lol). no, you're not perfect, but I think you're geeting a fair bit of constructive criticism from everyone, enough to know what you're doing wrong, if ever you are...=) So farewell, friend.

P.S. I'd have a crush for this dude, but the codpiece...yeah. Anyways.

*Snaps fingers and vanishes*

11 Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Hello again Marianne! I wish i'd seen your comments earlier as I realy enjoy your very well thoughtout comments. I know i'm hard on myself but it realy helps me improve and it keeps me humble. In fact my biggest fear is that I may start to get a big head and become an ass as i've seen quite a few others become. I've always been a firm believer that no matter how good you get at something there's always someone always better."

For some reason, this character's different appearances in your gallery remind me of the comic book series Cerberus by Sim and Gerhard.
28 Mar 2007:-) Elizabeth F. Aycock
Your Roth character reminds me of Jeremy Irons, the english actor. Fabulous detail as always, I am inspired to get back to graphite and see where it takes me. Liz

:-) Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Jeremy Irons? I've never thought of it that way but thats an awesome idea! Thank you. I've never realy done a closeup of Roth because I could never decide on what his features should look like but you've just hit it on the nose. Thanks again."

alright, yeah, i agree with everyone else now, i can definitely see where detail gets lost in the shrinking. still though, it’s a great drawing, your attention to detail and ability with shading are superb 11
