| 19 Nov 2004 | David E. Wilson Jr. | Loading..."More confident artists..." no, all artists, confident or not, have these times. I agree with using reference lighting. Take for example Alex Ross: When he drew Spawn, he had a real chain that he positioned into whatever shape he was going to have it on Spawn so he could get juuust the right lighting on it. Also, the facial tatooing, love the idea, even love the design (which is always my problem, design) it's perspective that seems to get you here. You have such a grasp of perspective with everything else you draw that it's amazing to me, but your tats just overlap the picture...I mean that they need to bend around the eye sockets where there are curves, otherwise it's just a circle over an otherwise awesome piece... The idea for the arm weapon ROCKS, very original. Can't wait to see the finished version. Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Your comments are very encouraging. I've taken your advice and bought a short length of chain at my local hardware store. I had to beat the thing up a bit to get a worn look. All in all I think the drawing turned out rather well. I'll be posting it after the Holidays and hopefully someone out there will like it. Once again, thanks." | |
| 19 Nov 2004 | Ruth 'Annoyed Rabbit' Caswell | Loading...nope. nope. I think you're completely wrong on that 'more confident artist' thing. I have several professional artists in my family, and they';re always staring at their stuff and going "now how should i do this?" And then they end up repainting 3/4 of the painting. ^_^ The chain is really nifty. Good luck with the shading! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks for commenting Ruth! I've actualy finished this one already and I plan to put it in queue soon." | |

I mean, cool in a scary, 'man-with-a-chain-whip-for-a-hand', kind of way. The scull is amazing, I really like the way you shaded that. Oh Oh! and his arm. Its so buff! and the veins- the veins! Thats awesome. You're awesome. This pic is awesome. Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks! That one hell of a compliment and I hope you like the finished drawing just as much." | |
| 30 Nov 2004 | Janeen Ellen Stumph | Loading...Good form and perspective. Looks not to be messed with=) The chain coming out of a skull shaped handle is a good concept. Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thank you Janeen, I was wondering if I'd ever see you in my gallery again. Nice of you to visit." | |

| 14 Dec 2004 | Maggie | Loading...this is totally awesome. The face has soooo much expression. I love it. I know it's unfinished.. but it's quite a piece of art! | |
| 21 Dec 2004 | Emelin Agnethe Melaa | Loading...This is great, even if it is unfinished, and that arm..... wow! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "I'm glad you like the arm, It's the chain which was giving me a wicked time though. The finished piece is the next pic." | |
| 9 May 2005 | Flutter | Loading...Really, really nice job here, I love the shading and can't wait to see the finished one. I love the Universal symbol for chaos on his face, my Uncle has it of the back of his neck. Again nice work and I can't wait to go though the rest of your gallery, you made my day! Lloyd Dennis Zacarias replies: "Thanks, if you'd like to see the finished piece it's in my gallery." | |
