"The ol´ Fishin Hole" by Manda Maggs

Well as I was drawing some battling centauresses (coming soon), I had a conversation with a biology major, who was just sort of learning about fantasy.   He asked what centaurs could eat, as they are anatomically incorrect to graze (kind of awkward), and not exactly the agricultural types either. I suggested fruit and berries, but we both agreed that such a diet  would only be seasonal. So we figured given their human omnivority and horse-like mobility, it is perfectly reaosnable to view them as being hunter-gatherer types. And since their chosen weapon tend to be staffs and bows and arrows, it is likely that their technology, though simple, would certainly encompass the ability to make fishing gear.  And so theis fishing centauress was created to illustrate our findings.
