| 23 Apr 2007 | Sara | Hi! You know I love all your pictures =) But my favorite here is Hidden Cabin. You are just amazing. I love all the details, it makes it fun to look at over and over again because it feel like you can find something new all the time =) XXX / Sara John Bovellan replies: "See? You told me by phone that you couldn't write in english, but I understand what you have written perfectly! Thanks for commenting, by the way!" | |
| 26 Apr 2007 | Sharn Renee Simpson | Excelent work, ever feel the urge to add colour? John Bovellan replies: "I must thank you again for all the comments you have left throughout my gallery! About colour; I've thought about it, but I'm not sure how good I would be with them... As mentioned in my bio, I'm self-taught and currently studying 100%, so I'm not even sure that I would have the time needed to colour something! " | |
| 8 May 2007 | Kristin A. Erickson | Your work is very detailed and incredible. Keep it up~! John Bovellan replies: "I'm glad that people want to see more of my work! I'm thinking about opening another gallery online somewhere to show off all the other pictures I've drawn, but first I need to scan in some of my more recent works to put up here on Elfwood!" | |
| 8 May 2007 | Kevin G Hansen | Love your style and originality...your shading and concepts are on top of the game and has inspired me to further my skills.... John Bovellan replies: "Somehow I never tire of compliments! To truly inspire someone is what we live for, so that is indeed a great compliment." | |
| 9 May 2007 | Maxine "piXel" Cox | I came, I saw, I commented! - and I enjoyed!! - I'll definitely keep an ^eye^ out for your new works John. You have given me some inspiration with your well skilled graphite work, and I hope that some of my comments prompt your own thoughts too - maXine John Bovellan replies: "I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your comments! I live to inspire, and to be inspired!" | |
| 9 May 2007 | Anonymous | My fave pic is your tortureed demon guy =) but really your whole gallery is awesome, keep it up =D John Bovellan replies: "Thanks for the comment, o mysterious but courteous visitor!" | |
| 11 May 2007 | Wayne D. Hingley | Great gallery. I see Maxine has been very busy, haha. Welcome to the woods. John Bovellan replies: "Thanks for the welcome! I am now officially in love with maXine for her comments! ;-)" | |
| 11 Jul 2007 | Maxine "piXel" Cox | ** looks up ** aaawww... sweet! I finally got mys-elf over here for a view of your new artworks, and I liked what I saw! A couple of tips:- 1. After each art update, go to the Extranet, go to Tools and Utilities, then Force Rebuild of Page - this way us poor commenters won't be pecking and hunting for the pick to match the thumbnail (I went and did this for you - I can do this because I am a 'mod') 2. Never mix your colours with your whites when doing your laundry. Oh, and *cough* *cough* I have updates in my gallery *cough* you will notice them immediately, they are the one's that have COLOUR!! - maXine John Bovellan replies: "I have not been able to either update or browse other art for a while now... Thanks for the tip about rebuilding the site, it works much better now!" | |
| 5 Oct 2007 | Sharn Renee Simpson | I just popped in to see if you had put in any new pictures and was greatly pleased to find many new ones. You really are an amazing artist. I myself have put a few more drawings in (and gotten rid of a few of the dodgy ones) feel free to check it out. John Bovellan replies: "Some day I will have the time to upload even more (perhaps even a couple of new ones?)! I'm sorry that I have not been able to comment back on your drawings, but I'll get around to it eventually... sorry." | |
| 1 Aug 2008 | James Hutchings | Hi,
I was wondering if I could use your picture ’Treetop City’ (http://www.elfwood.com/art/d/e/dewon/treetop_city.jpg.html).- as part of a free ’choose your own adventure’ type game I have on my website (www.ageoffable.net).
I’m not making any money out of the game, so I can’t pay you.
I will however credit you and set up a link to any website you nominate. I’ll also send you a ’featured artist’ icon you can put on your site.
If you’re interested please contact me at news@apolitical.info.
Thanks,
James. | |
