May I keep in touch incase I'm over Ireland way again? I'd love to meet at a cafe for a sketchbook session or something: I can imagine both of us with gelpens, markers and paint brushes scattered all over the table surface with only enough space for the coffee cups between.

Bits of glass, feathers, shiny things.... An archaealogical dig sounds awesome! I've always wanted to do that. Was it anthropological or paleontological?  E. Torrens replies: "Well the excavation was a rath (early Christian farmstead) so it was largely anthropological from the point of view of us donkey-labourers! We took environmental samples though so the people in the lab have a bit of palaoecological followup to do. I'm specializing on palaeoecology after my degree so I'll probably spend the rest of my life looking down a microscope at pollen grains and tiny snail shells!" | |
