Tag As FavoriteComment		I love drawing profiles (as you can probably tell). This was done really quickly in coloured pencils on brown paper without thinking about it so she doesn't have a story. Lib suggested that she was looking out to sea after her true love who has gone off on some dangerous expedition and my sister said that maybe her lover was mortal and she couldn't follow him when he died. Both good stories I think.

She seems very greek to me. Maybe it's the way her hair is up. Love the green and how you drew it on brown paper and the whole thing came out so nicely. But then you always have nice artwork.

She looks so sad!! I've been reading stories about immortals who have mortal lovers who die.. and their afraid of new relationships because of weakness and more loss and grief.. It makes me want to cry! So angsty! Anyhow, I love the paper you've used for this, and it provides a very attractive ground for this sketch. The colours are wonderful together, and love how you do profiles! Reminds me of a classical cameo portrait. Just gorgeous!
