Very, very nice! An impressive show of skill, and I agree with the above posters - this could pass for a gallery of Boris Vallejo's works! I hope I'll see your art on the cover of a fantasy trilogy or within some RPG books, because this is much better than most art I see in them now...

I was given on eof Boris' books as a present, and when I saw your "dragon rider" I imediately thought he had posted on elfwood. I enjoyed your site and I am in awe at the oil painting talent you have.

The influences to your work are quite obvious. I've long been a fan of Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. You've definitely captured the essence of their style with your beautiful art!

Dan, as always your work is inspirational. All the characters stand on their own and take on a life outside the picture. I am glad to see at last a newer piece has been added, I hope this means that you will be updating again.

Hi Dan. You got a great collection of artwork here. I can definately see where your inspiration comes from, but it is a little bit too obvious sometimes. It's good to get inspired by the masters but I think you would gain from developing a more unique style. Now you risk being compared to Vallejo all the time and that doesn't make your talent justice. Keep rockin'!
