Hey Diana. Those pics are amazing!!! You're so good at drawing!!! Maybe you can teach me how to draw stick people some time...lol... Anyways, I like your talent; you make me jealous 1 10.

7 Diana N Carter replies: "  Thanks Nicky C! I don't know if I've ever seen you use so many exclamation marks. I promise to show you how to draw if you show me how to play baseball! See you in physics again in September..."

I love your pics. Even with so much fantasy you manage to keep a firm grip on realism.

11 Diana N Carter replies: "Hee hee, and I didn't even know I was trying for the realism approach..."

Hey! I never knew you drew. Pretty cool! All i have to say i guess... see you in physics then! Your going to have to help me with music hehe, i don't have a website though, yeah... so if you don't mind. Yeah, would be greatly appreciated! Hi, Diana. You're already way beyond where most 17 year olds are in art, and you've got a good eye. I can see hints of what you're reaching for in your drawings so far, and I can see great things in your future if you keep practicing. I drew a lot like you when I was younger, and even though I have a couple of gold stars on my pics now, I know I'm still nowhere near where I want to be. But I keep practicing! If you really want constructive criticism, let me know. I'd be happy to help you out. For now though, a couple of bits of advice that I was told a long time ago: 1.) get a sketch book, and fill it with hands, feet, ears, just random body parts. Draw them from different angles, in different lighting. Those three are the big three. The hardest parts of the human body to draw. If you can draw those, well, and convincingly, then it'll help you draw the rest of people better. 2.) pick up a book on anatomy when you're done with hands. and 3.) You have a very good eye for lines, but nothing is made of lines in real life, only shapes: cylinders, spheres, cubes. Even the human body. Start practicing your shading. Look for shadows and highlights, instead of lines. Your coloring will improve immensely. 2Best of luck!

:-) Diana N Carter replies: "Thank you, thank you, thank you for the wonderful comment! That is certainly some great advice: Hands and feet are my downfall. I haven't posted in a long while, as the pictures I've drawn recently aren't of the fantasy genre, but I'll be back again in the summer, promised! Hopefully we'll see some improvements by then 2"

Shame on you, Diana. You should read the MCs for writers every day. (Heh, heh, heh. I saw your comment).

all i have to say is wow.......you are an amazing, extremely talented artist. all i can draw is crappy stick people...so i'll stick with playing guitar. maybe i could get you to design a band logo for me. See ya at work!

43 Diana N Carter replies: "Bart! Thanks so much for commenting, I had no idea you'd even really looked at my web page. As long as you keep playing guitar as well as you do, you can draw stick people all you want and I'll still be amazed. I'll see you tmrw, lol"

I've just been through all of your work, and I'd say that my favourites were your sand sculptures2 That mermaid tail was fabulous! You should incorporate that design into one of your drawings. I may do that, if you don't mind... You've inspired me! ...I also wanted to say that it's great to see someone who can work in different mediums and experiment with various styles and themes. Great work! BTW, Thank you for visiting my gallery a while back; I appreciate it2 Cheers!
