This is, of course, Heath Ledger as The Joker from the film The Dark Knight.

I wanted to create something quite special and personal to me so I didn't go off any internet images, instead I used my own sources. I took my time and listened to one of my favourite albums which kept me in good spirits despite my heavy heart.
I really gave myself a hard time with this one. The shading was an absolute nightmare as the white face paint is not even white on any of the photos. There's so many blues and purples and even greens in his complexion, I was layering Prismacolors for hours.

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. It's just such a shame Heath could not see this for real...

I think you have done him justice. This piece is absolutely incredible. Good job on the shading and the difficult angles of his head. You’ve catched his charecter well. It’s a shame he died. I saw him in Brokeback mountain, became a fan and then he died.

Magnificient, Ledger ranks amoung the great "creepy" one, like Vincient Price, Anthony Hopkins, and of course the original Joker himself Jack Nicholson.
Best way for an artist to honour his memory.
