Tag As FavoriteComment		This is my first truely colored piece - the other 'Floating Fairy' is colored, but not like this. I'm very happy with it. I still highly recommend Drawing Faries: A Believer' Guide. This fairy is heavily influenced by that book. I studies insect wings a while back, and these wings are bit of a cross between wasp wings and moth/butterfly wings. At least, that's how I remember them looking - it's been a while since I really went out to find bug wings. These work for me. I drew her first with a mechanical pencil, then mostly erased it and colored her with my colored pencils.
