This little devil has learned that his boss, the Big Man Down Strairs, doesn't play nice when he doesn't get his way.  His boss gives an order and the reply is always "Sure Boss, what ever you say."

I was inspired a bit by Brian Froud's goblins when sketching out this little demon character.  Froud's fun rounded creatures are so cute I had to try it out.  I'm not sure it I got it right but I like the way my guy looks.  I do like the way the scene came out.  I drew the character first and built the set around him.  I'm going to keep trying to draw decent backgrounds; some background, any background.

:-) Candice Dosela replies: "This was a different type of project for me and I am quite pleased how it came out. I am trying to make my drawings more interesting by adding backgrounds. The firewas difficult but I really love the character in the scene. Thanks again."

ah yes backgrounds!!! thats something i totally suck at 10!!! you have done a good job with this2 the perspective is really well done and the depth is also very well drawn. I’m sorry but I could not make out the fire on the side [blush]. the form is perfect but I think it needs to be whiter or have some kind of glow around to make it look like flame. But the character is really very cute. I think you have a knack for drawing very endearing characters 1

:-) Candice Dosela replies: "The fire and smoke did not turn out all that great but the stalagmites and stalactites came out okay. I don’t know if you could tell but there’s also a pool of molten oil just below the devil’s fork. Too fun."
