Damion was originally designed as a character for an RPG and made a handy addition to my huge cast of characters for writing. ^^ This is his dragon form, of which I'm rather pleased. What kind of dragon? I'm not sure. Shadowy type though. His father was a fallen angel. Its a long story on my part about that whole background. I have a LOT of long stories dealing with my art. ^^; (Because I have a lot of ideas that tie together!) I rarely draw dragons because I normally mess up BIG TIME ... this is one of two, the other of which I cringe at because it was done in 1998. x_X; This is alot more recent (2001) colored via Photoshop and drawn by hand (can't remember if thos elines are inked or not, probably are...) The background is weird. *shrugs* Ah well, probably my only good dragon example right now, even if it is a bit dated (2/01).

Lovely dragon picture! I must say, he looks better than the dragons that I've drawn (none of which are in my Elfwood gallery yet, hehe). I absolutely love his wings, they are my favorite part...they seem transparent and shimmery...nice. I admire people who can draw good wings =)

This is a great dragon! I like his wings, and hise head is very nice. The blonde hair looks a little odd, but overall is an excellent picture.

I was just wondering, what made you choose the name "Damion"? Thanks!

:-) Deborah A. 'Mintaka' Peal replies: "I'm slow... yep. Just got to playing with this feature - as for why Damion... partly for it's demonic-like reference, and a play on that because he is not as evil as he might seem. Plus I just like the sound of it. XD"

I am not sure exactly where I have heard this but I think the name damion is another word for, dark, evil, black and or shadow. If you where the name came from it was the son of the devil. it was assosiated with shadow of the dark one, or shadow of the evil one. Also son of darkness son of evil have been used, so to finish off what I am trying to say I think damion refurs to darkness and the dragon is extremely dark.

When I saw the name Damion, it brought to my mind the name Damien, the Devil's child from a string of movies made in the 70's.

As to what _type_ of dragon he is, I'd say he's some sort of Western dragon, since he has four limbs (arms and legs) and two wings.
