My absolutely favorite is "The Lord of the Rings" (I love J.R.R. Tolkien) and Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonrider of Pern", as well as Michael A. Stackpol's "The dark glory war - The Dragoncrown war cycle".

I listen to music range from hard rock, over all kinds of metal to gothic and electro.
