Lullaby of Shadows

 

The dusk is falling, falling like the autumn leafs,

Mother Nature's  most amasing living metal crafts,

Parchement-thin sheets of gold, bronze and cooper,

Material leaf-shaped flames, which slowly suffer a "fade to brown"...

 

The life-filled green turns into a golden-acid yellow, and

This metamorphoses into a raw orange,

And falles into an undead crimson red, and

This finally ends up into a lugubrious dark-chocolate brown...

 

And they fall, fall silent like the spectral dusk,

A glamorous fall, filled whith colors and lights,

The sky is "fading to navy", like leafs "fade to brown",

When the shadows dance...

 

Dance, dance, dance! Dance along the symphony of

Lights and colors of the magical dusk and rain of leafs,

Mother Nature is the best choreographer, let's admire her work,

The sleepy autumn dusk, and the shadow's dance...

 

Feeling tired, little one? He he... It's the lullaby of shadows,

A symphony of lights, colors and shadows, of course!

The sky is "fading to navy", melted-metal yellow becomes

A sparkling fire orange, which metamorphoses into a bloody

Crimson-red, which fades into a sweet violet, and, finally,

Into a deep navy covered with drops of quicksilver, stars...

 

It's time to go home, little one, let's go, it's late,

The streetlights are starting to sparkle, little earthling stars,

The lullaby of shadows will soon come to an end,

And it's time to go to bed...

Well... I know it isn't an opera of Edgar Alan Poe, but I do my best! :D  Oh, annnnde... Hello! Bun?! Bonjour! Aisatsu! Or, in just one word: Hi!!! And welcome to my humble profile on Elfwood, Earth's most great fantasy and science-fiction site!!! I am Danny (well, my full name is Daniela, but for an unknowed reason, I detest it!), I was born in a nice day of Thursday, 4th May 1994 and I live in a little ex-mining town in Romania, called Baia Mare.

NOTE #1: Yep, welcome to Transylvania!!! *evil laughts*

NOTE #2: In romanian, the word "baie" means or "mine" or "bathroom", which is kinda' funny... *childish laught*

For some people Elfwood is just a simple site filled whith science-fiction and fantasy pictures, fanart and stories. But not for me! For me(and posibly for some other people), Elfwood is like a seconde home... And in my chase is the place where I finded myself, I finded my long-lost-alter-ego... This place formed me as an artist, givend me the will of making the simple visitators to say "Wow that's sooo beautiful!" and offerd me the ocasion to meet meny new, intrestin and wonderful people which I can say that I'm glad (and in some chases, honored) that I met and know them!

I honestly love art. It's my way of living. Whithout art I'm like a sky whith no sun, moon and stars... It's my aim in life, the reason for why I live, to show people throw the lines, shades and shapes of a drawing a story. And Elfwood helped me to find my aim...

 Well, as an artist, my usual tools are: my trustfull 0.7mm B2 mechanical pencil (or any other usefull pencil on the other hand), my 24 colored pencils (a recent discovered passion :x) and my good ol' indian ink pen. I rarely use watercolors becose I'm kinda clumsy, but I do my best...

My main themes (and preferences) are: dragons(the most old and beloved mythical creatures I know), phoenixes(my most favorite, due to Phoenix-Translyvania), antropomorphics(after the age of 10, when I became very perfectionist, and started to detest people, I started to use anthros as "substitutes" for humans), anime (yep, a new passion which helped me to pass over my nonpreference for humans in my art :p ), elfs, vampires(lolz, when I was little I was sooo afraid of them that they where nights when I was sleeping whith my hands wrapped around my neck, being afraid that a vamp could sneek throw the open window and bite me! *laughts* but, after discovering anime and "Dracula", I started to love them! :p), dwanfs, licorns, chimeres, Mists ( a little invention: a spectral beast, 1/3 wolf, 1/3 black bird and 1/3 stag, which lets behind it mist and mistery...), mermaids, naiades, driades, angels, demons, kitsunes etc.

As a person in normal life... well... umh... I'm a wacky-lolz-cuckoo-a bit bipolar-silent-shy-scarry-weird-friendly-relayable-comfused teenage girl which loves biology, chemestry, history, Mother Nature, music, books, anime/manga, landscapes, peace, summer, autumn, apples, the smell of ball iron, cold air, flowers, big old trees (in specially oaks and willows), animals(dogs, cats, wolfs, lions, cheetas, panthers, mountain lions, lynxes, ravens, crows, white and common doves, dolphins, koi fish, tree frogs, sea turtles, cobras, grass snakes, coral snakes, jellyfishes, butterflies etc.) and hates: clowns(dunno' why, I just hate them...), terorists, racists, xenophobes, onions, garlic, night clubs(i once been to a club and I felt sooo sick and my sister couldn't hear me due to the hard music, I was damn afraid that I could faint and God knows what bad stuff...), bad music, hypercritics, bad people, politicians, jacknapes, retardates, parasites of all types, sadists, sun burns(man that really huuuuuuuurtsss!!!) and more other stuff...

Movies:Constantin, Ice Age, Harry Potter, Dragon Hearth, Inkheart, Edward Scissorhand; Shows:Brainiac, Myth Busters, How it's made?, LA Ink, Miami Ink (yep, I like tatoos ^_^); Anime: BLOOD , Full Metal Alchemist (my fav ^_^), Gravitation, Hellsing (after I've sawn the 13th episode, I've becomed a fanatic, and, unfortunately, I can't get it out of my head! but I like it, even it is a little to bloddy for my taste), Trigun(even if I've seen only 5 episodes*feels embarased*), Chrno Crusaide ( the only thing I hate about it is the name, becose it's IMPOSIBLE to outspoke *growls*), Kuroshitsuji (hehe... ^_^'), Ayakashi Ayashi, Inuyasha (i like it, inuyasha is sooo silly ^_^), The Count of Monte Cristo and more other, usually the ones in which the main caracter (or one of them) wears red.....

Eragon, Animorfs, Harry Potter (yep, patethic, but what can you do to it...?), Lullaby (by Chuck Palahniuk... lolz, it was the weirdest but intreting book i read...), Goosebumps, Gideon the Pocker Theif, Toate panzele sus!(or, on english "All the sails up!") by Radu Tudoran(yep, a rare ocasion of reading a national book...)...... And menny other...
