This is a character portrait from my made-up country of Taliar. His name is Arlen, and he comes from a herd of unicorns living in the Clouded Forest. He's a fiesty young stallion, constantly annoying the leader, Morgan, but he's true blue, and loyal to the heroes and heroines of the story. he has interesting markings, namely a bay coat, with a tan face, and even lighter rings around his eyes.

Technical stuff... This was a shading study I started ages ago, the basic outline taken from a photo in "The Majesty of the Horse" (Dean Server). But the shading I did all by myself... BE PROUD OF ME!!!! ^.^

I plan to redo this, without involving the photo, and I'll post it as soon as I do.

9 Feb 2006	Howler	Loading... I LOVE IT! Just an idea to grow on.. I think the front legs could be longer. I just love horses and creatures. Cynthia Conner replies: "Heh, yeah, that's what you start thinking when you see horses like these. But I've seen other picture of the breed this was based off of, and they're actually pretty stocky! The front legs look far too short for its own good ^.^ Especially when folded up like that. "

24 Jun 2008	Linia (cowlover) D.	Loading... Woo! Go bay unicorns! i don’t see why all unicorns have to be white you know! i mean there has to be a variety of colors, bay, chestnut, sorrel, paint. Unless they were this one horse breed that lives in france and they are all grey...
