A gust of wind

Blowing, swirling around

Speaks of the hidden creatures

Hiding in the clouds, in the bushes, in the mind

A whirlwind of imagination

An ocean of thought

Created, creation, real and unreal

Thought, or deed

No one really can tell whether it’s true….

They hide from us

Until we are ready, they remain hidden

Only some have the vision to see

There, yet absent,

Absent, present, unseen

The unclouded eye can see an echo,

A non present silhouette,

A shadow in the clouds

A clear eye can see the truth

The wind?

Or no?

A wing beat?

The breath of the beast?

The passing,

 unicorn,

 dragon,

Or was it only the wind?

But what is the wind?

No comments?! That was breathtakingly beautiful. It reminded me of Madeline L'engle's Wrinkle in Time series for some reason. It was fair wondrous. O.o

Gawd, that was ... that was ... just ... beautiful. I loved it. I hope it wasn't just the wind (I hope it was the one-eyed penguin *wink*)

:-) Bethany Holthof replies: "A one eyed penguin? *cocks head* Right...."

Beautiful poem, but it's kind of funny because it reminds me of the poem my psychology professor wrote and read to my class the other day. Yours is definitely better though, especially with its mention of dragons and unicorns.

:-) Bethany Holthof replies: "Ach!! Phsycology?? thats funny. Thankyou so much..... "

i especially like the ending. It fits very well, and adds that last little bit of something.

:-) Bethany Holthof replies: "Thank you!"

Wonderful piece! It feels kinda... Presocratic. Sorry, I've been reading too much philosophy lately. What I mean is that it's about feeling, essence, "what it is", rather than reason, "what it is composed of".

It's a beautiful tribute to imagination and dreams. Keep up the good works!

And congrats on appearing in the Woodworks "Recommended reading". Good job!

Now come over to my place, and we'll read poetry to each other until sunset... (Ahem, never mind)

:-) Bethany Holthof replies: "Thank you verymuch.... and thanks for the congrats! I would like to know what that bit at the end was about tho......."

ur gay

:-) Bethany Holthof replies: "If you are going to flame me, have the guts to leave a proper name, you loser. And I was quite happy when I wrote that, thank you. You also show just how shallow you are when you say something stuipid like that. Homosexual people can be quite nice, so please refrain from using a derogatory term when mentioning them, you psycotic lunatic who doesn't know true art when they see it!"
