This biologically enhanced mechanoid human questions to whether it still is a human being, doing the evil military deeds of the higher-ups.

 
I'd say he's probably got to a point where he's being made to pointlessly kill lives, and finally his human side has recognised the unfairness and cruelty of it all..or something like that, lol, experimenting with trying to get some form of dramatic scene.
