Hummm...you need to look into getting your self a book or two on the human body. No one of those how to draw books! THere you can learn proportions and such. Which is very hard to master, but always pays off to get down!

Oh my. Before any of the others tell you you need that much work, let me (as some one who has been drawing since someone handed her on of those nasty kindergarten pencils) that I am quite impressed! I went into shock when I first saw Kerri. Most beginners should be tolerated with patience until they get better, but you have natural talent! Try using colored pencils- you'll have a blast! Keep drawing!

Keep up the good work. With a little practice you will be really good. Looks like you have natural talent, now it is up to you to make the best of it.

This is amazing, Duane your an artist with raw natural talent, and you have a lot of potiential, with enough practice, and in time I'm sure you will be one of the best artists featured at Elfwood, I certainly am not going to laugh at your work, and any one that does is a fool so screw 'em. Not a bad start Duane. I really enjoyed your Kerri and Namiko pictures. Those would have to be my favorites. Don't think I'm being mean by giving you my criticism (it's how we learn) but perhaps you should study up a bit on proportions of the face and hands especially. Believe me, I know how hard they are to draw. I think you should draw a bit darker too...so we can see your wonderful stuff! ~_~ Stop by my gallery some time and tell me what you think...or just browse around. Keep drawing, I'm sure you'll go pretty far with the kind of talent you're showing already as a beginner.

We can see that you got talent and if you keep at it you can become very good. That will be great if you put some colors in your artworks, people are more attract to the artworks when they had colors. I used to draw just in black and white too, I was not too good with colors but after a while with practice I start to get better at it, I still try to improved my drawing skill and my used of colors. If you got time come visit my gallery. The advice I give you is, draw, draw, draw, if you enjoyed drawing it's all it's matter. Being a artist is liking what you do, so if you like drawing, that's mean you are a real artist!^_^

Great work so far, although it is a bit difficult to see the details because the pictures look so small. Do not give up on art, even if you think you are not improving (it is an excellent outlet). Best of Luck!
