Mablox the mercenary lost his army to the Hemlokh, a band of unstoppable savage creatures long thought extinct. With the last of his money he bought the services of the land-man Loris and they found Ogris in the ruins of a village. Determined to rid the world of this evil once and for all they are skirting the forbidden forest of the Mahars to avoid an Athemian patrol. Giant land-sloths trudge amongst the giant mushrooms while rootebs flit about in the humid air. Done on A5 size paper this has lost a lot of detail in shrinking down

Love the light source on this David, no use of filters here, just pure skill! Heh, you and mushrooms ay? Do you actually eat them just out of interest? I nearly threw up cos of a mushroom once....aaaanyways, what scale did you draw this one? Cos the detail on all those little mushrooms must have taken you ages! Those things at the side are pretty big! Kinda creepy when you think about it....imagine coming across one of those down some dark alley 12 *Thumbs up*Have to confess I airbrushed the torch a bit, though that was cos it looked completely different once it was scanned in. I am of the belief that mushrooms were brought to this planet by a meteorite, they just look so weird. Don't really like eating them, kinda boring...though I hate eating in general...scale was A5, nice an small...thansku 2

*Laughs* This is very 'you' David; I swear you must have been a Hobbit in a former life, loving mushrooms so much. ;D Woah, I love those big creatures, especially their backs! I take it they're harmless? Or would they go on a killer rampage? 12 I love the light in this pic, especially the way it goes incredibly dark behing the sloths....creepy. ;D And those mushrooms must have taken awhile; well done for having patience. Hehe, I'm sorry, I have to say this, but when I first looked at this pic, that person at the bottom left reminded me of cousin It from the Addams Family. *grins*All he needs is a pair of dark glasses and a bowler hat, I know...wont be the last person to tell me that I shouldn't wonder. Nah, they're harmless, but a killer rampage...hmmm. Mushrooms are ok, but prefer looking at them to eating them...a hobbit in a former life...please...

What would you rather have been then? A Balrog? ;D I'd probably have been a Hobbit - food food FOOD! ;PAch, do I not make it blatantly obvious...an Ent...an Ent...

David this pic is ... well i can't say as there is no word known in the human tongue that can tell you how good this pic is 1 and the thing about detail lost in scanning ....*shocked fell off chair ...not hurt gets back on*
you have to show me the actual pic bra so i can view it in all its glory ;D 1 12 2errol, this is miniscule in real life, and ts beginning to get smudged. Mushrooms should be this size. Thanks for the comment...

Wow! This is my favourite pic in your entire gallery! It's so amazing, especially with the torchlight casting eerie shadows, and the darkness that seeps through from the trees behind...
It's totally amazing!Heehee, thank you very much. What a very nice comment. Not sure if he should have lit that torch, they kinda look annoyed. The ground sloths are just mutants of many natural history books...

wonderful shadows and unique looking, I live the lighting and the creepiness of it all!I LIVE!!! Sorry I love typos12 I dont think its unique, the mushroom forest is straight out of Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth, and the ground sloths are blatant copies of things from prehistory books. Plus the torch is bright because of photoshop. Thanks for the comment.

Wow this is great. I'm really impressed. I love the use of colors. I like the way you tied them together so well and yet nothing go unseen. also the lighting is extremely well done. i find it really hard to get lighting like that ally in this medium. Wonderful job mate!

Very very strange... Shrooms everywhere, so much there had to be a made path in there on the bottom. Strange creatures. I don't know the scene but it's very very interesting to look at, many great details, yes...2!!!
