| 31 May 2004 | Maitlin Waugh | I hope you're thanking Carly for this, Emily! See what fun elfwood is? I haven't seen any of your work in a long time, and you have improved a lot since then, I am impressed. Keep up the good work, I'm waiting for more! Emily Bock replies: "Oh, I DEFINATELY have been thanking Carly for it... as soon as I had finished trying to strangle her! No, really, I love it, and really appreciate hers and Tacia's (visit her gallery! yes, I'm shamelessly advertising!) conspiring. Thank you!" | |

| 20 Jan 2005 | Adama Ish | Some nice art here, and you are right, the Escaflowne Manga is CREEPY. I still like it, but I am an Escaflowne fan to the point of obsession. (The reason that I found your site is that I was searching through all 700+ of the entries in Elfwood that even mention the word to try and find a picture that I saw here in the mid '90s. Is that a good definition of obsession?) Anyway, I am glad to find that someone on Elfwood has actually heard of the manga and acknowledges its existance. You are the first person I have heard even mention it. (This is actually pretty surprising considering all of the OCD Dilandau fanatics here. I think they would know about it since they seem to enjoy him for his insanity...) Well, anyway, I like your style, and if you ever find some Escaflowne pics on a site that are done in blue charcole or art pencil, Include the Guymellif, and may be accompanied by an Elf riding a dragon whose scales have a mettalic effect on them, a couple that is made up of a dark elf holding a light elf (it looks like a high elf to me but I am not sure), and/or a pic of the hero of X/1999 being embraced by some girl in which it looks more like it is Millerna hugging Van, PLEASE write me a note, I don't know if I will ever be able to find the artist who did the stuff because I don't have his or her name. Emily Bock replies: "Awesome! I love that anime! But inthe manga, all the characters look completely different, and from what I've seen, the plot isn't the same. The movie's the same way... oh well, the anime rocks! And I certainly shall tell you if I find any pics of that discription. Good luck on your search!" | |
| 25 Jan 2005 | Emily Callahan | OMG! My name is Emily too and I also love horses. I love your art work! Emily Bock replies: "Thank you! I agree with you- horses are awesome. I'll try to draw a better version eventually. I'm glad you like it!" | |
| 21 Apr 2005 | Another emily bock | Please change your name. I don't want people thinking i'm you. Emily Bock replies: "Terribly sorry, but it's my birth name. I can't change it 'til I'm eighteen. Bummer. Maybe you should change yours?" | |
