| 11 Dec 2006 | Jenny M. Heidewald | Loading...Since there were no mods choices today I decided to click the most appealing "picture of the hour" selection. Gee, who'd-a-thunk it'd be someone I know! Now, she has to keep that hair braided or something when she fights. I have hair that is just past my bottom ,and if I leave it down it attacks me! I can't imagne how bad it would feel to get it caught in armor! Lovely work on the armor, BTW, and she looks really happy. Eden Celeste replies: "Hi Jenny! While I don't have hair that long, my hair is pretty long and I totally agree with you! If I had to fight I'd cut it right off! It doesn't matter how much I braid it or put it into a pony tail it always comes loose in little wisps and gets me in the eyes. I really don't understand how people are supposed to do ANYTHING with their hair down. Especially fight. But hey... this is fantasy so maybe she's got magical hair that always stays out of her eyes. | 6 Apr 2007 | Janelle A. Tognazzini | Loading...to the commenter "DEE" who said the hair length was too over exaggerated.. artists have been doing it for centuries. Think of the birth of venus, for example. extremely long hair can simply serve to be symbolic, or help set a mood. also, a lot of women do grow their hair out very long. Anyways.. I like the character. she has a nice smile and she seems like a real person with real beauty. | |
| 26 May 2007 | Anonymous | Loading...Not to be insulting, but did you research armor at all? I mean maybe I'm a purist. plate armor is carefully crafted for mobility and protection, but she looks like she's just wearing a body suit....nothing is that fitted when it comes to steel plates. Also- are the elbows and shoulders filled in with chainmail as is typical or did you work out some articulated plate concept? Anyway, I guess my point is, if her armor looked like that, she either wouldnt be able to move, wouldnt be able to take a hit, or both. Eden Celeste replies: "Actually I'm in the SCA, have created my own chain mail and know (and have worked with) several top notch armorers. So yes, I do know armor quite well. And yes, this isn't "accurate" armor in any historical sense of the word nor would it work that well if it was made out of earthly metals. Luckily for Nahllia here she lives in a fantasy world where they have different laws of nature and things called magic. This is the same world that has women in two metal pasties and a chain mail bikini bottom that is comfortable enough they can still concentrate on fighting, it magically stays on AND it somehow manages to protect them in combat! I figure Nahllia here is smiling so large because she actually has some dignity remaining." | |
| 2 Jun 2007 | Nothing | Loading...I don't care if her armour is "correct" it actually covers her! Compared with what most people do it's absolutely stunning! And who needs to look up medieval armour for a FANTASY web site? | |
