This was mostly a pencil study for me. Most of my pencil art is very light and used almost exclusively to sketch for my ink work. I wanted to see if I could do something 'final' in pencil. This is also my first actual fantasy picture that I had done in a long time since from 1996 to 1999 I did Science Fiction and gothic themed art.

I love the way her hair and the creases of her clothes are so realistic. I personally find them very hard to do. Also love the way her hair blurrs at the back. Great picture.

I was happy to find a wizard that was a woman. I have been searching for images and illustrations of wizards for my team at work (mostly men). Our team is The Wizards and we are technical problem solvers. Thanks for the hope.

This shows a gorgeous attention to detail. Kudos as well for the contrast/lighting - I love extremes of light and shadow, and it only enhances the expression and feeling of the drawing. Astounding work!

Ah here's my favorite. You got a talent for incooperating a mood into your paintings. I bet you get totally absorbed into the process of working with your art, feeling the feeling of the picture while painting it, huh? ;D Somehow I think the picture would have been more harmonized if the star-magic in the corner wasn't there, but that's just my opinion. Keep it up Eden.

Gorgeous.

all of your work is stunning, esp the Mother one, but i wonder if i'm the only one who thinks that her foot looks too small...they're supposed to be a measure of your face, and she doesn't seem to look like she could walk on it either...maybe it's just the angle.

:-) Eden Celeste replies: "hmm... I think you're right. I hadn't noticed that before."

Wielding mystical power is ecstacy - I can almost sense the physical arousal for this wizard woman in casting her spell. You really are very sensual with your work, Eden. Makes me wonder what it would be like to watch you drawing... how you hold the pencil, the rythmn of your movements, the concentration in your eyes. Might be ab idea for a self-portrait?
