If they don't want to be drawn at that moment, then I can't draw them, and not even a blessing from the gods will change that. So it makes every occurance of them special (I always loo kforward to seeing new Alice pics!) These two are an adorable pair, and the shading on the pants (even if shrinking it did kill the effect somewhat) just astounds me. I actually went back over this and darkened up the lines, and the whole effect is just infinitely better... I'll have to repost it or something... So, when do we get to see YOUR Alice pic? | |
| 20 Apr 2001 | Brian Keith Cooke | Loading...An even smaller select few can see the original Love the poses on this one, and you're right, the vinyl effect was pretty darn cool. I think this one in particular would lend itself well to color. Would it? Hrm... onders: | |
| 3 May 2001 | Carrie Gross | Loading...This is a really cute one, James. Although, it seems to be a departure from Alice's original style; wasn't she sorta neo-Victorian? Ah well, this is cool anyway. And even though the pants may have lost the vinyl effect somewhat, they still look shiny, which is still cool. Great job on the poses (especially Sara), and I like the expression on Alice's face. *Peace* Yep, it's a departure... I figured that she had to have more than one type of outfit in her closet, and figured "Why not let her and Sara have all kinds of fun dressing alike?" Realistically, the hair gives it away, but it's fun while it lasts, y'know? | |
| 25 May 2001 | Christopher M. Rubenstahl | Loading...Hey, let's not forget those crazy pimp-ass shoes...I love those, man. They were a pain and a half to draw, lemme tell you... Glad you like 'em, though. I'm surprised the Elfwood Shoe Cult hasn't found them yet... | |
| 4 Nov 2001 | Sierra James | Loading...Great outfits! I admire someone who does group shots. It takes me awhile just to crank out ONE character on paper. Good poses. James Milligan replies: "Oh, it takes me forever and a day, as well. I just make it LOOK easy... =)" | |
| 17 Nov 2001 | Alicia N. Steeves | Loading...Ooooooh. I love the way they're posed. It's almost like two views of the same character...except that they're different people and have different hair and that was an incredibly stupid thing to say. I love Alice's hair. Vinyl pants rock. I love the poses and the postures. I wanna be Alice. That was pretty random. James Milligan replies: "Hehe... Grow your hair out a bit, and I can help you with the costume, if ya wanna. =)" | |
| 21 Feb 2002 | Liana | Loading...Great detail on the clothes, so often, stuff just hangs too perfectly. There's a sense of mystery about these two. Something in the expression. What are they plotting, I wonder? James Milligan replies: "I never know what these two are plotting. That's what scares me about them. :gets a cold chill at the thought: Eep." | |
| 26 Feb 2002 | Jennie Seay | Loading...Well, the boots don't look comfy, but the tops are rad as hell! Screw color - ink it! James Milligan replies: "Ya really think so? eers at the pic: I've thought about inking it, but I couldn't figure out if I should do so or not.. I'd have to go all on line weight instead of shading values (as I have not your mastery of crosshatch), but I suppose it would be worth a shot... Hrm... More votes or reasons, folks?" | |
| 17 Apr 2002 | Sumbat Jonathan Sarkis | Loading...Damn, just look at that body!! Excellent work, man! James Milligan replies: "Thanks! Your works' not so bad, as well, you know?" | |
