Well, I've been promising to do individual versions of Ashara and Zero for some time now, and well, back while Elfwood was down, I did so! I think my computer coloring technique is getting better... either that, or I'm hallucinating. Not much to say about this one, really, except that I finally came up with a name for 'Zero', as well as a good design for the magical tattoos on her arm and chest. I would imagine that she's got similar designs on her back, but, not having drawn that, I'll have to just guess. There's a similar pic for Ashara coming as soon as I'm done with it. Drawn in pencil, scanned in, and colored in Photoshop 5.5 on a Powerbook G3/500.

Hi, folks. The artist, here. I do /not/ like the way this turned out after reduction to 72 dpi for Web viewing. I'll see if I can't replace it with a better pic in a bit.

True, the larger version is better, but it's still pretty darn cool. Love the coloring job you did. Great layout too. Spifftacular!! 2

Thanks, Brian. I'm hoping to have the new pic of Ashara up soon, as well. The layout will be similar, but different, to this one. Hope you like it, too.

Hey this is good. It doesn't have the polish of the color version of Melliune Fornice in your Fantasy Art Gallery, but it's still good. The little artifacts on the image can be removed in the new demo of paintshop pro7, downloadable at: http://www.jasc.com
(Go to EFFECTS / ENHANCE PHOTO / JPEG Artifact Removal)

Just one little problem with that, Beth... I'm using Mac OS 10.1, which, while it is in fact UNIX (Mach BSD, in fact), it's not Windows. Ergo, Paint Shop Pro isn't exactly an option. I'll check it out in Photoshop, though.

Muahaha. Hi James. ::Wave:: I'm Sierra. This kicks SO much ass. I love the pose in the foreground. She's pretty, too. The face to the side is good looking, though, I'm not sure if the eyes are too close together or not. Still looks great though!

:-) James Milligan replies: "Huh, new comment schema here in the extranet. Wierd. Let's see if it works! I'm of the opinion that her eyes are a little close together, as well (and so, it would seem, are others!). But, still, glad you like it, Sierra. Thank you!"

*mumbles some ugly things about her HTML-language not working when writing comments for others*

:-) James Milligan replies: "And now they've given us this wierd new comment editor, as well...."

Interesting hat... I like her pose and I can't help but to adore the gloves. (I think I got a thing for gloves) However, I don't really like her hair. I don't really think long hair would end in such a "straigh line". You need more individual hairstraws. (At the least if you should be drawing for my taste. ^_~) Also, her eyes is close together at the big version of her face. To say something more positive... As always I love your ability to place your characters in cool poses.

:-) James Milligan replies: "The hair itself should be more "fly away" at the bottom, yes. The color method I used doesn't hold up to that very well, sadly. =( Thanks for the compliment on the poses, Rikke!"

Man... it's hard to believe I haven't commented on this in the year it's been up. I love it! The color, the poses... about the only complaint I have is that her eyes are little too close together in the portrait. Still... looks damn cool.

:-) James Milligan replies: "I can't believe it took me this long to reply to your comment, Chris. Jeebus. *shakes head and sighs* Yeah, you're probably right about the whole eyes-too-close thing. Ah, well. Better for next time, methinks."

uugghh... see through tops...typical. Its good, but SEETHROUGH?!

:-) James Milligan replies: "Someone's never researched their Cyberpunk Fiction, have they? If you're complaining about See Through Tops, you'd best avoid the works of Gibson, Sterling, Stephenson, and the rest. The rampant sexuality would kill you. ((Why do the whiners always post anonymously?))"

I think what anonymous was trying to say is that 95% of fantasy women are usually drawn with little /see through clothing on, and it *does* get annoying after a while, but only because it's overdone. But in the genre of cyberpunk, it's tasteful, it's neccessary to the topic, and it's what makes the whole thing so unique and cool. Even some of the dudes have see through tops. xD so in this regard, people shouldn't complain. Love the coloring. Looove the character design. Really cool overall. I shall browse the rest of your gallery, mmhmm.

PS - Whiners stay anonymous so they don't have to take responsibility for what they say. Sad, sad thing.
